Arteza Metallic Acrylic Paints Used Two Different Ways With More to Come!

Hello Friends,

I wanted to share with you a couple art pieces I have completed recently using Arteza brands metallic acrylic paint. You know, if I get a new product I will want to try it in a few different applications to see what it can do! These paints have been fun to paint with as well as to colorize a mixed media assemblage piece I created. At the end of the month I also plan to put the metallic paints through the paces making lots of gel prints on my live channel show ART Joy of Sharing LIVEstream. If you want to see that live or recorded on January 30th at 10:30 CST-  here is the link ART Joy of Sharing LIVEstream 'Just Gellin'

So the first thing I tried with my new metallic paints was to paint a whimsical portrait with them. Arteza also sent me a couple pads of their 'acrylic paper' which is a heavy paper pressed with the texture of a canvas. So that seemed perfect to use. I sketched my girl with graphite first and then added lots of fun colors of metallic acrylic paints. Here is a photo and video link if you would like to see that process.

Next I was working on a mixed media assemblage piece and I was interested to see if I could get the look of a pastel pearly colorization that you often see in some of the 'famous' artists assemblage pieces. Most of those artists are designing for companies that sell some sprays or powders or waxes that make the process seem easy. Guess what, metallic paint from Arteza works just as well and it is mush less expensive per ounce. Here is my mixed media assemblage piece as well as the link to the video of my process.
