Happy Valentine's Day..LOVE to Everyone!

Hello My Art Friends!

Today is one of my favorite holidays. I love that everyone is sharing love! There really can not be enough of that going around! Of course...I do cringe at all the commercials I hear and see demanding that people buy some big item for their significant other. At our house we don't really do that much. But I do always try to make something for my family members...I have always felt that a something made by hand was a much bigger gift of love then a store bought thing. I am not opposed to chocolate and diamonds of course..but you know what I am saying! So I wanted to share here what I have made this month. I feel like my blog is NOT getting love from me since I started making these Youtube videos! I wonder how people do it all? I am constantly forgetting to take step out photos..because I am filming..so I never have photos for the blog anymore :( And as soon as I finish a video...I feel like I am already behind on the next one! I am many of you know that feeling LOL. So..here is what I can do...share my Valentine 'ish' projects here :)

My last post was for Whats on You Workdesk Wednesday..and there was a pile of shimmery papers on my desk using Tattered Angels mists and paints. Well...these are the cards that came out of that mess. I sent these out to friends and family to share my love for them. However..a few might be a bit late as I fell down on the job of getting to the post office..lol

These are the Valentine's I made for my immediate family. They all contain the favorite candies of each person. Some of these people may appreciate the candy more then the covering..but it is the thought that counts right?

This one was a group collaboration project with my little group #fab4creates :) The four of us wanted to do something special for Valentine's Day so we made up a swap hop. Each of us sent another one some items to use that were good for Valentine's Day. Then we each had to make a project using the items. Mine is a photo frame.  Check them out!

Thanks for reading my blog people <3 I love you!

  1. These are gorgeous, Shel! I especially like the first lot. I don't think you should worry about documenting the process in your photos on the blog - the videos are much better for that! What the blog is good for, I think, is showing details of the completed pieces and it's sometimes nice to read intimate thoughts behind a particular project! You're doing so well with both your YT channel and the blog - they work well together!
